Dear Joanna:

It is always a pleasure speaking with you. I am so delighted that you kept me in mind. I would like to express my sincere thanks to you. As we spoke last night, I have attached my recent resume for your record. I.T. Bridge had given me a lot in terms of preparing me for SQA positions out in the market. After working for a couple of months at SONY, I realized that the quality of the people produce by I.T. Bridge is far better than other schools. Thanks to your foresight. Continue the good work you are doing ..... making a difference in people's life.

Yours Truly,

Alwyn Ted Li

Dear Joanna:

I just finished my first day as an intern in Sony. I saw a lot today and know that I have a lot more to learn and to do, especially since it is only the 8th week at I.T. Bridge. But I think one of the most important and urgent things to do is to express my appreciation to you! I thank you for all your help in improving my resume! I thank you for the information and leads in landing this internship! I thank you very much for the useful interviewing tips, which are especially helpful! I am forever grateful for all the skills I.T. Bridge taught me, and for all the helps you have already given me and will continue to give me!

Thank you very much !

Sincerely Yours,

Hi, Joanna:

There is a Bangladesh gentleman in my former department who has an EE degree from Cal State LA. And he is now getting his master degree in Computer Science at San Jose State. He knows a lot about computers. Much more than I did. Two years ago, we both wanted to move to software. We both believed software testing is the best way to gain entry. At first, we both wanted to take your class. His SQA friend said there is no need to. This friend started teaching him all kinds of SQA stuff. He also got a black box testing book from the library. With that, he was able to pass phone interviews with five companies and secured face to face interviews with them. WorldCom even paid his plane ticket to San Diego for an interview. After those face to face interviews, none even bothered to contact him again. On the other hand, I had one interview and got an offer several days later.

I asked him what happened. He said they asked for specific examples of test cases he had done. Problems he had run into and how he resolved them. Not just theories as in the phone interviews. My interviewers asked for the same thing. I had plenty of real examples from the class to talk about. That made the difference.

Wallace

Dear Tim:

There are a few miracles have occurred to my life and getting a job at Adobe is definitely the most significant one. Because of this job, my life will be forever changed with a much broadened horizon. I owe it to you, Tim, and the I.T. Bridge for training me with the skill I needed for a bright future. Your masterful and insightful knowledge in SQA technologies helped me to realized that I had some valuable testing experience from my last job that could be applied to my advantage. It was my past experience at the SQA field together with a well prepared plan inspired by your teaching got me this job. It is really a dream come true. Without being your student, this great opportunity would have just passed by me. So I have to say this: thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for bringing sunshine into my life!

Respectfully and gratefully,

David Y.

P.S. Please extend my deepest appreciation to David, Paul, and our wonderful Coordinators Joanna and Shirley who have always been so eager to help the students.

Hi, everyone:

Sorry for not replying your email and not being able to attend our first class reunion, as I was staying in some hotel in New Jersey for the past two weeks and had neither internet or long-distance telephone access. I hope you all had a great time. As some of you might already know, I was in the interview w/ AT&T here for Software Testing position. After two weeks of waiting the good news finally came, and I am hired. So now I am in my second mission, which is to settle down and get familiar w/ the new environment. If you visit any of the big cities in the East Coast in the future and need a tour leader, feel free to call me. As now I am sitting in the new office and typing this email, I can't help but to think how hard everyone had worked to find a job in this industry. And I am thankful that I wasn't alone along the way because of you. To the instructors I just want to thank you for your instruction. To those who have found jobs, congratulations; to those who haven't, good luck to you.

Keep in touch,

Hank

Hi, Jennifer,

As you may have known that I found a PC tester job at HP a month ago. I have been so busy on my new job that I forgot writting thank you note to you and I.T. Bridge.

Thanks for ITB and you gave me the internship opportunity that I gained more experience and skills during that month which I think directly led to my current job. I also like to extend my thanks to my intructor David King, Tim Mac, and John Bui for their rewording of my resumes.

Tim, David, John, Michael, Jennifer, Jason and all I.T. Bridge staff members,

I've been working at Microsoft for 4 days, very busy and a lot to learn. Thank you all for giving me good foundation on testing methodology, I survived although it's overwhelming at the first and my manager said I caught up fast.

I did NT server version fresh install, got familiar with the software which I'm going to test, and the Microsoft's own bug database, read test case guideline which is based on ERS. I'll generate the scenario and execute them myself. I also attended 2 meetings, one with the developers and the other one with the program manager. The charts of monitoring progress are hanging in the hallway from which I can get some idea. Best of all, I already found 2 bugs while I'm still in training.

I'm so glad that everything I learned at school is so helpful, plus the Internship project. Thank you all again for leading me to the right track on my career path.

Hi everybody,

This is Jerry. An agency gave me a full time SQA offer to work at S3, and I will start on this coming Monday (April 20). In interviews, I met six persons, and took approx. 2 hours. The pay for this position is very good, over $20 per hour. This position can be long term if the performance is well. This offer made me feel very exciting.

I need to thanks Tim Mac's help; my classmate Stephen Mac also. Remember the "push us e-mail" from Tim Mac last month; it works for me. Thanks. Hopefully, I can survive my first SQA job.

Good luck, everyone!

Michael, Jennifer, Tim, David, John, and all the staff at I.T. Bridge,

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for making my dream come true - I got an offer from Microsoft this morning. I'm going to start my new career life at Microsoft, Seattle on 4/27.

Over the past 4 months, I've learned so much from all of you. I felt very confident when I talked to the interviewers because of the technical knowledge, the interview skill, the intern project, and the courage you gave me. With the good foundation you built up for us, I'm sure I'll do a good job!

Special thanks also to Jason, Shirley, and Paul who helped me with a lot of valuable information.

Ann

P.S. Jennifer, would you please help me to forward the mail to everybody since I have only a few addresses. Thanks.

Tim,

I want to tell you that I have already transferred to SQA position for 1 month. My back is still hurting, I am still visiting doctors and seeing P.T. Anyway, I want to thank you for being a very inspired teacher and some of your words have become my motto. Your words change my mentality in perceiving things. I used to count on someone else to do the technical things, but now I believe I am a ENGINEER, I CAN do it BY MYSELF! My husband also observed the drastic change on me. He also agreed that taking this class is very worth it.

I hope you will consistently inspire your students and someday you will find your hard work get pay off.

Regards,

Katherine

Hi, Tim, David, and John,

I've got a job offer this morning. I went for the interview last Friday and met with the VP this Monday. My job title is quality assurance engineer and it's a full time position. The company developed radio frequency related products. The offer came surprisingly fast like I was dreaming. I most likely will take the offer and start next Monday because they give me no time to try other chances. Do you think I am making the right choice? Regardless, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for the knowledge you've brought to me for the past three months. It really helped me find the job. I wish all my classmates will find jobs soon. I'll talk to you later.

I'm sorry. I haven't had time to come up and visit the school in person. I was offered, interviewed and hired for this job in Los Angeles so fast that I haven't had time to do anything. But I wanted to send out this e-mail really quick to thank you guys for everything you've taught me. I don't have much work experience but this class was enough to get me my job. And I can only go up from here! I really want to thank David especially because the hiring manager called him and asked to give them a word about me. David, thank you so much for vouching for me. (getting my back, sticking up for me, saying a good word) It really helped. I'm working for this company that's hires consultants and contract employees to work all over the United States.. (which is great and exciting) The company is called TekSystems and they have a project for me to do at Genoa Labs Technology. I hope to stay with TekSystems.... They have great benefits(which I don't receive yet but soon!) Anyway as you can tell I'm really excited and I should leave now. It's a six hour drive to Los Angeles. I'll be back soon though.

How are you doing? Good news finally arrive. Today, I had an interview at Adaptec and got an offer. I will start to work tomorrow. Thank you very much for your continuing help!!!!

During the interview today, I was asked about the win.in file, system, ini file, registry, device manager, ReWritable CD, wav file, midi file, SCSI, Windows NT, and some hardware configuration questions. The interview was easier than what I have expected. And most importantly, it's over for this first try!

Tim:

Thank you for your message, I am doing very well. The reason that I still haven't started to looking for a job is that I am doing really good as a sales rep and got pretty good salary ( 45k-55k ). But I will never give up on the things I have learned from you. You are such a marvelous teacher and I believe many of your students will appreciate what you taught us. Feel like I won't able to find a better pay job in software testing. I know many SQA get high pay when they have solid background. Others have a potential getting good pay by working hard and taking more and more computer classes. I am kind of person who doesn't want to put all my energy to my career. I have many interests to pursue such as being with my baby, playing piano, designing clothing and traveling around the world.

What do you think? Please advice.

How are doing yourself? How about your students?

My best wishes to you,

Lifen

Hi, All!

Last Friday, I received a call around 11:00am from the agency and they've asked if I could come for an interview in the afternoon at 1:30pm, and I didn't have enough time to prepare my interview questions. But I went to the interview anyway and I thought I failed the interview because they've asked me so many hardware questions related to CD-ROM which I don't know how to answer. But the other interviewer have asked me all the SQA questions (which I've learned from the class) and I answered all without any problem. Later afternoon, I received a call at 3:30pm and they wanted me to start on Monday.

Well, I think I just lucky that I got a job same day I went to the interview.

Now I am working with Adaptec, Inc. and testing a software for a CD Recordable and ReWritable Drive. I really enjoy working there and getting more experience.

I'd like to thanks David, Tim, and John for teaching this software testing class and helped me start my new career.

Best regards,

T.T.

Dear David and Tim:

I am very glad to let you know I just got a new SQA job with Silicon Graphics Inc. (I am the last one to get SQA job in my class)

During my job interview, the Engineering Manager was very impressed by my knowledge about the SQA. He look at me and ask " Where did you learn all this?". I told him I got the intensive training at I.T. Bridge Training Center. And it is true, without your instruction and hands on training, it is no way to get this job.

Like all my classmate, I am writing you to thank you and wish I.T. Bridge continue success.

Sincerely,

Hello David:

Thanks for your e-mail and I believe there will be some good news from class 6 shortly. I think the resume is most important now for the job shooting, like "open sesame". I got two personal interviews in one week, just after I modified my old resume. I thought I cooked good "sesame" for them!

I am pretty happy with my new job so far, I find lot things here that I can learn while I got pay! I am testing new SCSI adapters with new version's driver, also in different configurations and using different testing tools. You are right: I need hard work but also make fun!

Thanks again for the hard work from you, Tim and John, from you, we are enabled to create a new career! Let's keep the touch!

I got my first interview from Minolta yesterday and I got the job a printer testing position.

I was asked quite a few technical questions. Thanks for both of you. Everything is covered in your lectures. I was asked:
1) How do you test PCL and PS printer?
2) What testing methodologies I have used in printer testing?
3) Do you know GDI printer?
4) How do you test printer driver?
5) What do you know about postscript?
6) How do you test performance testing in printer?
7) How do I learn this many applications?
8) Do you know how to create testing matrices?

The rest of the questions are more general and related to my previous working experiences. I guess the interviewer are very happy about my answers so he ask me when I can start to work right away.

Now is time to implement my learning to this job. Thanks a lot.

Dear David,

I'd like to say "Thank You" for your effort of helping me to convert my career. I wouldn't attend this class if I don't know Linien. I guess I have to say thank you to both of you. During the past two months, you have been working so hard to teach us everything relating to SQA career. I enjoyed a lot in your class. I especially appreciated your advise on my interview rehearsal last Tuesday. I believe the best feedback to you and Tim is of my finding a job to prove my successful learning from this class. Thank you very much. See you soon.
